Bill Simon has been practicing law since 1988 and specializes in real estate, business law, Medi-Cal planning, wills, trusts and probate, and has recently accepted family law cases. He has also excelled as a trial lawyer in injury and accident cases, obtaining many large verdicts for his clients, including one of California's largest soft tissue injury verdicts, nearly $300,000 for a husband and wife with less than $10,000 in medical bills. As managing partner of San Diego Law Firm, Bill guided the firm in its ascent to one of the 50 largest law firms in San Diego County as recognized by the San Diego Business Journal (Summer - 2004, 2006) while maintaining outstanding ethics in the marketplace as recognized by the Better Business Bureau (Torch Award Finalist - 2005 and Torch Award Winner - 2006).
A list of the legal matters Bill has handled includes business mergers, acquisitions and liquidations, formation of business entities and representation of businesses of all types, Medi-Cal planning, creation of trusts and wills, probate and trust administration and litigation including actions on behalf of heirs to collect their rightful inheritance, real estate purchase, sale, zoning and development matters, and serious accidental injury cases.
Bill is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and has also been qualified for several panels of the Lawyer Referral and Information Service of the San Diego County Bar Association and the East San Diego County Lawyer Referral Service.
Bill is also a licensed real estate broker and member of San Diego County, California, and National Associations of Realtors. Bill also sits on the Board of Directors for the North Park Main Street Business Improvement District. He regularly represents clients in real estate and loan transactions as both an attorney and as a real estate broker.
Bill Simon grew up in San Diego and attended Grossmont High School and the University of San Diego. He is a graduate of Western State University Law School. Bill resides in Rancho San Diego with his wife, Ione, and their three children. Bill's interests include golfing, running, working out, USC football games, music and riding motorcycles.
